A word of warning. A friend of Sourcing City received in the post yesterday a letter entitled ‘Publication of companies and VAT Reg in the UK Corporate Portal’.
Read the small print very carefully. You are asked to log on and correct basic data listed as “name, address, post code, town, internet address) interestingly NOT your email address.
You will probably find that your company email address is wrong on the document, so the inclination is to change that, if you change it and return the form you will be subject to a charge of £797.00 annually.
Clever scam, be warned!
