Customer Focus has launched two new sites to promote both this autumn’s APG shows and the 2016 Spectrum Catalogue. The easy-to-navigate, uncluttered designs deliver detailed information in an interactive, mobile-friendly format.

Sourcing City Marketplace has opened the appointment diaries for all invited distributors and attending suppliers. Both Days at SCM feature appointments, together with set ‘Runaround Sessions’. Both days are focused on appointments with Distributor VIP’s and Guests scheduled meetings lasting twenty minutes. Only professional distributor companies with a turnover in excess of £250k are invited to SC Marketplace.

Malcolm Watson, of Trade Exclusive supplier I Love Promoting, was regrettably unable to attend the recent Purple Club summit, but having read the report that followed with great interest he has taken the time to provide some observations on some of the issues discussed at the event and how his business related to the findings.

At the recent Purple Club Industry Summit one topic raised was the need for a ‘Quotation Request Checklist’ for new people joining distributor companies. This was seen as useful for training purposes, and even as a useful checklist for more experienced people.
