DUBLIN, IRELAND, 01 October 2026 — Goldstar® has been awarded the EcoVadis® Gold Medal, with both Goldstar® Europe and Goldstar® North America achieving an overall score of 84/100, placing both entities in the 97th percentile of companies assessed worldwide.
The assessment evaluated Goldstar®’s approach across key areas of sustainability management, including policies, data, and supporting evidence. The recognition reflects the continued work taking place across Goldstar® to strengthen its sustainability practices, improve transparency and measure progress.
“This recognition is a reflection of the work happening across Goldstar® to continually strengthen how we approach sustainability,” said Pedro Moniz, Global Sustainability Manager. “While the Gold Medal is an important milestone, it also gives us a clear view of where we can continue to improve.”
For Goldstar®, the EcoVadis® Gold Medal represents more than recognition. The company continues to focus on providing customers with greater transparency and measurable progress through several initiatives, including:
- Digital Product Passports: Available on selected Goldstar® bags to provide customers with greater visibility into product composition and material sourcing.
- Annual ESG Reporting: Goldstar® publishes an annual ESG report outlining its progress and performance against its sustainability goals.
- Made Better™ Products: A growing portion of Goldstar®’s product catalogue carries the Made Better™ designation, featuring products made with recycled materials.
Looking ahead, Goldstar® is using the EcoVadis® scorecard to identify opportunities for further progress and has set its sights on achieving Platinum recognition in 2027.
“Congratulations to everyone across the team who contributed to this achievement. We are so proud of this recognition and the progress it represents,” said Heather Smartt, Global Head of Goldstar®.
“From strengthening our ESG reporting and material tracking to incorporating recycled materials, this award reflects our commitment to building a stronger and better future for years to come.”
