The inaugural Sustainable Merchandise World took place on 10th September at Arena MK, Milton Keynes, marking a fresh and eco-conscious chapter for this established event. Attendees enjoyed a diverse showcase of sustainable product ranges from both new and loyal exhibitors, creating an energetic and innovative atmosphere.

 

This year, the show welcomed 11 new exhibitors alongside our trusted partners, adding a vibrant dynamic to the event. A total of 188 visitor companies attended, representing a combined turnover of £300m, with a steady flow of attendees throughout the day. For the first time, Distributors hosted their own VIP clients, providing exhibitors with a unique opportunity to present their products directly and VIP clients with hands-on experience in a professional setting.

 

A new feature for this edition was the Speaker Theatre, where two engaging short sessions captivated visitors and exhibitors alike, receiving positive feedback and strong attendance. The relaxed ambiance was further enhanced by massage angels, while the roving tea trolleys kept everyone refreshed and energized throughout the day.

 

Ella Long, Show Organiser, reflected on the event: “We always receive great feedback on the quality of visitors attending the show, which leads to valuable conversations for our exhibitors. This year, we were especially pleased with the positive response to the new additions introduced to keep the show fresh and engaging — they’ve laid a strong foundation for future editions. Looking ahead, we’re excited to announce that next year’s show will take place on 23rd September, two weeks later than usual. This change is designed to accommodate more visitors returning from summer holidays and to offer greater flexibility for our exhibitors.”

 

Year after year, we aim to enhance value for our exhibitors, who dedicate significant effort and resources to make this event a success.
