On a wet November Thursday night in Manchester, Big Bird Sports were proud to attend and sponsor a sporting dinner, with England’s all-time leading wicket taker Jimmy Anderson, and former Lancashire wicketkeeper/batsman Luke Sutton, in aid of the Lancashire County Cricket Club Foundation.

The evening started with drinks and an exceptional meal before the guest of honour received a friendly and light-hearted grilling from the Foundation’s own Peter Young. Questions ranged in topic from former colleagues and coaches, to the current captain and Jimmy’s brand new range of hand picked French wines. Not once was a question avoided, not even when asked whether he has, as rumoured, bashed a certain ex-Australian captain round the head with a batting pad (he actually had, by the way!)

Throughout the evening, Jimmy made himself available to chat, for photos and for autographs and proved he is, as his reputation proceeded, a true gentleman.
The evening was thoroughly enjoyed by all, and every one of the 175 guests walked away with an eco (shopping) goody bag, given by Big Bird Sports, with a range of branded merchandise in it that they could use at home or at work.

Big Bird would like to thank Direct Trade Bags, Thermalmate, Goldstar and Adproducts for generously supplying the items they gave and were delighted to sponsor the event. They look forward to continuing their relationship with the Foundation for many years to come.
