Tim Cadel of Festive Promotions Achieves New Personal Best

Tim Cadel, co-founder of Festive Promotions headed off to France again to take on another wine Marathon.

Having completed the Marathon du Medoc in 2012 in 7 hours & the Marathon D’Alsace in 2013 in 6 hours, the challenge was on to improve his time.

Last weekend at the Marathon de Sauternes Tim clocked in at 5 hours and 3 seconds!

How did he do that?

He ran a duo – where – a buddy runner runs the first half & you run the second half – so just a half really. 2 hours 30 minutes for each half saw Tim’s team in with a 5 hour finish.

Tim commented ‘It was a great event, beautiful scenery, wines, weather & people – what is there not to like? Several wine stops along the way helped, Sauterne is the best energy drink on the planet – cheers!’
