Screenworks have been awarded a hat trick of UKAS prestigious Quality, Environmental and Health and Safety worldwide standards.  These respected certifications are internationally recognised business standards, ISO is derived from the Greek word “isos” meaning equal.

They are the ONLY T-shirt printers and embroiderers in the UK to have simultaneously obtained all three standards:- ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001.

The International Organisation for Standardisation is a worldwide federation of 110 national standards bodies working together to promote the growth of manufacturing, trade and communication among business operations worldwide, through the development of generic quality standards.

Screenworks, who have grown strongly year on year despite the current economic climate, have made a conscious decision to make quality and continuous improvement a key part of their overall business plan.  This strategy is clearly working!

Screenworks Managing Director, Duncan Gilmour, said “These certificates mean you can be confident that we take a systematic approach to our business processes and respect and care for our environment & people.  We work co-actively with our customers and suppliers in a partnership of excellence and constant improvement.  It should be seen as an indicator of our ability for efficiency and professionalism to fulfil or exceed our customers’ requirements.”

The successful triple certification was achieved by working closely with Accreditas Ltd (www.accreditas.co.uk) and adopting their state of the art Visual Matrix System (VMS). The user-friendly VMS incorporates the requirements of all three Standards into a computerised Integrated Management System. Apart from instant access to any part of the system, it is used operationally for training and generating documents for daily use.

This year Screenworks have also been Sedex audited and have obtained a SMETA report which meant they were one of a handful of UK companies who were able to supply clothing to this year’s London Olympics.  Earlier this year key staff Amanda Moody and Daniel Porter followed a year-long training programme and graduated from the British Promotional Merchandise Association (BPMA) academy.
