In a statement, Promota chairman Rod Duncan said members and the wider industry should know that the final decision and agreement has yet to be reached.
Mr Duncan said before any merger could be formally agreed, the PROMOTA Board would need to ratify the move and formally present it to the PROMOTA members, who would then have the opportunity to vote on whether or not the merger should go ahead.
