This September was our first time exhibiting at Sourcing City Marketplace and what an exhibition it proved to be!  The event was expertly managed and we arrived to find our beautiful ‘pod’ ready and waiting for us. 

After setting up our stand, there was an opportunity to have a bacon roll and a cup of tea from the excellent catering facilities, prior to the opening of the event with a talk given by Timothy Andrews, President & CEO of ASI.

We had 32 appointments over the 2 days, which meant that from the moment we started to the very end of the second day, (with the contractors taking down the pod around us!) we were busy telling the industry what we have to offer.  The high standard of well-respected distributors really made this exhibition worthwhile. More than one of our visitors commented that they felt they had just been for some therapy and could already start to see the wood for the trees. 

Within the first month since the show we have had a 31% conversion rate from our appointments, which even includes companies who felt they are largely doing most things right but have a desire to improve some of their business strategies, or perhaps want help with specific areas such as training or tenders.  Some are ready to take their business to the next level, but just need a little guidance on how this could be achieved. We are confident over the next few months that this conversion rate will increase, giving Pro-Motion Consulting a great return on investment and the start of some long-term customer relationships.

We’re already looking forward to more productive discussions at next year’s event – and of course sampling more of the rather yummy Pick-n-Mix selection!
