The fabulous CarFest extravaganzas were the brainchild of Chris Evans, created as a family event to celebrate superb cars, spectacular air displays, rousing live music and a feast of culinary delights… and at the same time raising money for BBC Children in Need.

BTC Group supported BBC Children in Need by managing their CarFest Merchandise Shop, with proceeds of over ?44,000 paid to the charity across the two weekends. Jon Birrell, Senior Marketing Manager, commented “It was truly a great team effort with our BTC Group crew giving up their weekends to work around 14 hours each day to raise an enormous amount of money for the charity, helped along by special appearances from Chris Evans and Pudsey.”

In addition to the proceeds from the shop, three CarFest t-shirts signed by Chris Evans were auctioned raising an additional ?3,000.

CarFest South took place at Formula 1 World Champion Jody Scheckter’s Laverstoke Park Farm, followed two weeks later by CarFest North at the picturesque Cholmondeley Castle in Cheshire. Texas, Razorlight, The Proclaimers, Paloma Faith and The Feeling all took to the stage for the family-friendly festival.
