BTC activewear realise just how important it is to offer support to local charities and have recently made a donation to the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity.

The Midlands Air Ambulance covers the largest Air Ambulance operating region in the UK and is responsible for funding and operating three Air Ambulances.

The charity was founded in 1991 and began with just one helicopter. Now in 2013 the charity has 3 air ambulances, which respond to around 3,000 call-outs per year. That is approximately 10 each day!

Midlands Air Ambulance receives no Government or National Lottery funding and requires in excess of ?6 million each year to keep its’ three air ambulances operational. All of this is based purely on donations from the public and local businesses.

BTC activewear feels it is important to support this local charity and have donated 2 pallets of clothing to the MAAC Clothing Recycling Appeal.

Also in 2012 one of BTC activewears’ employees Adam Spittle (shown in picture) joined the Smethwick Labour Club darts team, which regularly supports the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity.

BTC activewear is pleased to support such an important charity that operates in the heart of the community they serve and hope that any donations made to the charity during 2013 will make a real difference.
