The BPMA have today issued a strongly worded statement in response to Promota suspending its planned EGM. They refute in absolute terms the reasons Promota have given as to why the suspension has occurred, and are demanding an apology. It appears on the face of it that again, basic communication has broken down. Our ‘off the record discussions’ over the last two days give us grave cause for concern. We are running out of words to describe our incredulity at the failing to bring this merger together. At the Promota AGM the members demanded a “can do” attitude from Promota. Many members of these two associations are no doubt frustrated at the boards failings to complete the merger as per the voted majority of the resolutions from both associations. It appears the Industry that pays us all a living is under threat from one or two people with their own agenda’s and it must stop.
