Wild Thang are investing over £272,000 and aiming to double the number of employees to 40+, whilst achieving a turnover of £5M p/a over the next 3-5 year period.

Andrew Dwerryhouse said: “When we look back at our small beginnings, starting with a £1500 Princes Trust loan and a small amount of personal investment we can take great pride in what we have achieved as a team to date. Over the last 19 years we have become a true family run business, regionally the biggest merchandise provider now employing 20+ highly trained individuals all flying the flag for the Liverpool Region & British manufacturing, as you can imagine all of which has taken a lot of sweat and tears along the way. This is another big moment in the company’s history as we plan to make the investment in our Liverpool HQ and Manufacturing Hub, we have an amazing team and are in a good position to grow so by making the right further investment in people, new state of the art equipment, new machinery to increase capacity, technology to increase efficiency and software to process quicker will all be key to the expansion success.

Similar to many SME’s you hit different plateaus at different times in the life of a business, we know it’s the right time to make that investment so we can take the next step to grow the business and truly offer something World Class both Nationally and Internationally.

We will look to grow our order book regionally, in London and the Southeast where we know there is substantial requirement for the products we supply, establishing a base in the capital through Liverpool in London will help realise this potential.

Finance has been raised in a number of ways including from our own company resources, great support from our bank, the NatWest, in the form of a Business Development Loan and £54,500 grant support from Regional Growth Fund through the Liverpool City Region Local Enterprise Partnership’s (LEP) Business Growth Grant with the help of Liverpool Vison’s team to secure the grant funding for which we are very grateful and without we would not have been able to make the investment at our Liverpool site. We are currently in the top 5% of largest merchandise providers in the UK but now we are aiming to break into that 1-2% that are at the very top of the industry league.

Having built an enviable client base that includes many local and national high profile brands such as Umbro, Wembley, B & M, Home Bargains, Liverpool FC, Paddy Power, and Sky to name but a few, we believe it is a matter of building and replicating our current success. We have a clear understanding of our own corporate responsibility by supporting local charity, not for profit organisations and major events that happen across our region so I would like to think we are also a company with a big beating heart that not only has the best interest of its staff but also the best interest of the region.

As a team we are excited about the future, dreaming to aim big, 100% confident with our company ethos to deliver World Class creative branded clothing, merchandise and print, we will meet our growth plans and proposed targets “
