After 38 years of supplying branded merchandise, Viv Blumfield is finally hanging up her ‘promotional’ hat and retiring from the industry.

Viv was on the distributor side of the business for 30 years, running her own business, The Regency Collection, which she sold to Dowlis in 2004 and subsequently became Managing Director of that company.

Following the changes at The Altitude Group in 2010, Viv switched to the supplier side when she started her own consultancy business and then joined Abbeygate, the diary/notebook/leathergoods specialist supplier, a year ago.

During that time Viv was also Chairman of the BPMA for a period of 2 years, so she has experienced every aspect of the promotional merchandise industry.

Viv said,  “ I have thoroughly enjoyed working in the industry and it has held my attention all this time due to the variety and fast pace.  There is certainly never a dull moment! However I feel the time has come to enjoy other things in life while I am still young enough and well enough to do them!  My husband and I still have plenty of travelling to do, as well as enjoying more time in our home in Cyprus and with our families.

I will be working with the Abbeygate team at the Promotional Product Expo show next week on stand B34, so do come and visit us to catch up on new developments for 2017 and to say goodbye.  I look forward to seeing as many industry friends as possible before I go.”
