Earlier this year, Bedford based promotional manufacturer and distributer, Sycal, extended their print capabilities in the form of direct-to-film (DTF) printing technologies.

The new in-house machinery is designed to offer exceptional print quality onto almost any garment material, with speedy turnaround times and lower costs than alternative print methods.

DTF printing allows for any full-colour digital design to be printed onto a layer of film, which is then simply heat cured to the garment.

Although a simple process, the printer utilises dual-head printing technologies, allowing it to produce full-colour transfers, as well as the necessary white inks in a single pass.

With Christmas just around the corner, DTF printing can be utilised to print on custom branded Santa hats, Christmas stockings, and a wide range of festive products.

Unlike alternative full-colour printers, DTF printing completely eliminates the need for any pre-treatments on your garment. Even on dark clothing, DTF allows for vibrant CMYK printing without the risk of dye discolouration.
