To have received an invitation on Day One the distributor company must turnover in excess of ?1m.  On Day Two companies over ?500,000 have been invited to join the event.

The Marketplace is an exclusive ‘by invitation only’ event for large promotional merchandise distributors. The concept of the event is to focus on professional conversations in a relaxed environment.  Rather than ‘exhibition stands’, Marketplace will have ‘Conversation Pods’ with casual seating.  The hosts will be presenting their ‘Top Ten Reasons to do Business With Us’, which explains in depth all of the additional services & support they can offer major players to benefit their business.

Over 250 VIP’s and Movers & Shakers have already pre-registered to attend, with several other invited guests expected to arrive on the appropriate days. Subsidised travel and station shuttle buses are being provided for guests arriving from far afield.

To date the VIP Guests on Day One have collectively pre-booked over 700 appointments prior to the event, and many hundreds more are expected to take place during the first day of the event.  On Day Two further guests arrive from distributor companies with a turnover above ?500k, plus more members of the teams from the ?1+ distributors. This second day involved un-appointed meetings with the Hosts, and the Guests can also enjoyed insightful business presentations from Timothy Andrews, CEO & President at ASI, plus three other well-known business management speakers.

Alistair Mylchreest, CEO at Sourcing City commented: “We are delighted that there has been such a positive response to attend Sourcing City Marketplace by large distributors. We believe suppliers have much more to offer distributors than they may realise, and the Marketplace will provide a relaxed environment where distributors can find out how suppliers can improve the services they offer to their end user client, their internal efficiencies and ultimately their bottom line. It has been essential for us to limit the number of distributors attending Sourcing City Marketplace to ensure the concept worked and that everyone was given time to have effective conversations. However, we are committed to supporting the entire distributor channel in the industry, so we are now considering another new event to include all professional distributors.”
