SC Marketplace is an event exclusively for invited professionals in large distributors companies. The unanimous conclusion of all distributors and suppliers who accepted invitations last year, was that this was one of the best industry events that they had ever attended, and the 2012 event is now eagerly awaited on the 26th and 27th of September.
The Sourcing City Team have now closed bookings for Host Conversation Pods, with 95 Suppliers now booked to meet with the invited distributors. Last year 61 suppliers were involved, so the event has grown by over 56% from the first year.
SC Marketplace is not about product, uniquely it provides a structure platform for suppliers to present their Top Ten ‘Things You Do Not Know About Us’. Each host will explain the full range of support services and systems they have which can help a distributor to win additional business, it is also a great time for them to offer specific distributors exclusive deals. The environment is relaxed, yet each conversation is focussed to ensure everyone gains the maximum benefit. In today’s tough trading environment, all visitor are guaranteed to learn many nuggets of information that can help them to win business.
This is all done through a pre-booked appointment system, ensuring every visitor gets focused time with whoever they wish to speak to. To date over 750 appointments have already been booked, easily exceeding last year’s appointment total, and there is still five weeks to go!
Sadly, the balance appointment structure of SC Marketplace does not allow for smaller professional distributors to be accommodated, so SC Marketplace has to be an exclusive event for VIP’s and sales and administration teams from the 350 UK distributors with a turnover in excess of ?500k pa.
However, SC LIVE! on the 16th & 17th January is another invitation only event, and this time all professional distributors over ?250k turnover are invited.
SC LIVE! will certainly be different kind of product exhibition, with top level business speakers before the show opens, and a Party Night! which is only ?25 per ticket with a buffet, or free after 9pm for anyone who wishes to eat elsewhere before joining the party.
As the only trade show in the South of England, the SC LIVE! team plan to provide information on even more exciting innovations in the coming months.
