After the successful launch of Sourcing City LIVE! in January 2013, the SCL team are making a surprise announcement.

The exclusive Trade Product Exhibition for team members at all levels in invited & qualified Professional Distributors was acclaimed across the industry, particularly for the quality of visitors, the optional appointment structure, the exclusive invitation policy, and many of the special touches that had the event described as a ‘Business Class’ experience for guests and exhibitors alike.

Having had a successful first year it may seem strange to change anything, but Sourcing City LIVE! has announced that they are moving the show dates.  

Alistair Mylchreest, CEO explains; “Experience tells you a lot of things, and we have decided that January is not when we want to do our show.  We feel it is asking too much for some suppliers to do 3 Shows in 3 Weeks. This certainly stretched the resources of several exhibitors, and does not allow time for them to follow up on the investment they have made at earlier shows. These guys are our partners and we want them to get a maximum return from all events they invest in.  We also have another good reason; anyone who was watching the weather forecasts closely around SC LIVE! will know that snow was threatened throughout, and the day after the show, the country had major snow and transport issues.  As snow now seems to be becoming more regular in January, we do not want to risk losing any future events to the weather.”

He continues; “So, we believe a new date in early March is ideal for everyone, as it deals with all the issues above, and just as importantly, rather than rushing to our show immediately after Christmas, both distributors & suppliers can spend more time planning who they wish to meet and have great conversations with. The new dates also have the important benefits of more samples, far east prices and supplier catalogues being available.”
