Ballpoint pens made out of liquor bottle caps, exploding sweets for radio comedy, pencils which herbs sprout out of when planted, frying pans that can be imprinted on the inside – the potential of haptic advertising is enormous. Particularly when creative ideas in the areas of product development and campaign implementation are distinguished with the Promotional Gift Award. Advertising agencies and promoting companies, designers, promotional products suppliers and distributors can register their haptic advertising highlights for the Promotional Gift Award 2015 up until November 14, 2014.

The Germany-based publishing company, WA Media, has been conferring the Promotional Gift Award since 2003. The competition distinguishes innovative promotional products and campaigns. A record number of entries were awarded prizes in 2014: The quality of the entries was so high that 53 awards were presented. The award-winning products can be viewed at www.promotionward.com. The Promotional Gift Award acts as an orientation aid for companies and marketers and distinguishes those ideas and concepts that an expert jury has found to be particularly creative, communicative and clever from the masses. The jury comprised of five haptic advertising experts from Germany, Austria and Switzerland: Vahap Aksahin (Lufthansa WorldShop GmbH, D-Frankfurt), Nana Kreyenberg (Volkswagen Zubehör GmbH, D-Wolfsburg), Michael Mätzener (diewerbeartikel gmbh, CH-Schwyz), Michael Scherer (WA Media GmbH, D-Cologne) and Martin Zettl (marke[ding], A-Wels).

Innovations from the haptic advertising sector can be submitted for entry to the Promotional Gift Award 2015 up until November 14, 2014. The communication prize is awarded in the categories “Give-aways”, “Communicative Products”, “Premium Products and Brand Articles”, “Custom-made Designs”, “Best Practice”, “Packaging” and “Customising Technologies”.

The award ceremony of the Promotional Gift Award will be held at the HAPTICA® live ‘15 in D-Cologne on March 25, 2015. Like the Award, the event, which celebrated its premiere in 2013, places the focus on creative diversity and the concrete application of promotional products – ” HAPTICA® live ‘15 – The Experience of Haptic Advertising” is a combination between a trade fair, a lecture programme, special exhibitions, networking and the award ceremony and presentation of the winners of the Promotional Gift Award.
