The Promota board, in their up and coming EGM, are recommending its members vote yes to remaining an independent association following revelations regarding the contractual agreement between the BPMA and Trade Only.

Part of the agreement states that the “BPMA will not engage in any endorsement of any similar trade show, road show or events that could be considered competitive for any Trade Only event during the term of this agreement and for a period of 18 months following the termination of the agreement.” Promota has serious concerns that the merger would remove independence, unacceptably transfer power to Trade Only and place restrictions on many of its members.

The EGM is scheduled to take place on 19th May at Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire in the Seminar Rooms 1-4.
