Award-winning Distributor of promotional merchandise Outstanding Branding are delighted to communicate that its two directors, Sarah Penn and Andy Thorne, recently attended the exclusive 7th Annual Spectrum Charity Dinner.

Both were invited by Adam Rowse, the Co-Head of UK Corporate Banking at Barclays Bank, to be guests at his table for the event which aims to raise vital funds for the Ben Cohen StandUp Foundation. This fantastic foundation is the world’s first which is dedicated to ‘raising awareness of the long-term, damaging effect of bullying, and funding those doing on-the-ground work to stop it’. They encourage everybody to stand up against bullies, whether or not they are victims of bullying themselves, and work collaboratively to help connect communities to create a world of tolerance, understanding and kindness.

The evening took place at The Park Lane Hotel in London, and in addition to guest appearances from fashion designer Julien Macdonald and singer Daniel O’Donnell, included an insightful panel discussion with England 2003 Rugby World Cup Champion, Ben Cohen MBE; England 2014 Women’s Rugby World Cup Champion, Danielle Waterman; and England Sevens International, Sam Stanley.

Throughout the night a silent auction took place whereby guests could bid for lots including an ‘Ultimate VIP Vegas Experience’; a private dinner party for ten; and a ‘Monaco Grand Prix Super Yacht Experience for two’. Eager to contribute to the fundraising, Andy and Sarah placed their bids and indeed won a signed Jessica Ennis London Olympic shirt, and a signed pair of boxing gloves from former world heavyweight champion David Haye, both of which will be displayed on the walls in the office at Outstanding Branding to inspire a winning mentality.

The whole event raised a staggering £133,000 which left Ben Cohen commenting on his Facebook page that he had “had an incredible night at the annual Barclays spectrum dinner for Ben Cohen StandUp Foundation”, and that he was “very proud of all involved in making this event a great success. Big thank you to the host David Faltman and two fantastic guest panellists Danielle Waterman and Sam Stanley. We had a great performance from The London’s Gay Men’s Choir who were incredible. Really proud and happy today.”
