Newell have announced changes to the distribution of their Parker?, Waterman? and Rotring? products from 2014. In a review of its channel strategy, the premium pen company has selected just two supply partners for the promotional market, with a decision to cease direct supply to any other customers and also to cease the provision of its marking service.

SPS are delighted to have been selected as one of Newell’s partners for 2014. Phil Morgan, CEO, comments: “Since our selection in 2013 as a major wholesaler for Parker, Waterman and Rotring products, we have worked closely with Newell in order to ensure a smooth transition for our customers. We feel that this new development will be a great benefit to the market, since the supply and marking of these pens will be in the hands of experts in the promotional product industry.”

Morgan continues: “This change really is great news for promotional product distributors, most of whom will already be aware of the service and expertise levels at SPS. We have already made arrangements that we will stock a selection of the most popular Newell products, and with our in-house branding facility, that means we will be able to offer excellent lead times, great choice and very competitive prices.”

The change will take place from 1st January 2014. Additionally, the availability in full of PaperMate? and Quill? branded products will cease at this time.
