The BPMA issued the new policy statement below in the ‘BPMA March News’ on Friday 4th March 2016:

New Policies at the BPMA

Learning from past issues regarding recruitment and use of data, we are pleased to announce three new policies, demonstrating our commitment to best practice and operating to the highest ethical standards.

Your committee works hard to deliver opportunities and results for you, and constantly endeavour to ensure that the decisions made are in the best interest of all members. It is important to recognise previous lessons and room for improvement, and to continually strive to raise standards within the association and across the industry.

With immediate effect the following policies are now in force at the BPMA:

All job opportunities within the BPMA will be fully advertised to all members and in appropriate media if necessary.

• The BPMA will not recruit staff from member companies without the full agreement of all parties involved.

• All data used by the BPMA will be fully qualified before use.

Your trade association fully recognizes the need for unquestionable ethics, and to set standards of best practice for the entire industry.

We understand that it is critical that we work on behalf of all members and for the industry as a whole, and can assure you that this is what your committee aim to do on a constant basis.
