As Merchandise World in January at Silverstone fast approaches, plans have now been made for future Merchandise World events.
Following the exhibitor survey completed after Merchandise World at Stoneleigh in September, there was clear support for a New Year (January) event in the Midlands, and a Peak Season (September) event in the South.
Each event has a clear identity to benefit both exhibiting suppliers and professional distributors. January is the main time when everyone involved with sales in professional distributor companies wish to see the new and best-selling promotional products. A high number of business leaders, together with their front-line teams are expected to attend at the perfect time to see the latest and hottest promotional products for the coming year, as well as to discover the winners of the MW Promotional Product Awards.
The Merchandise World Peak Season event has been announced to take place on Wednesday 12th September 2018. September is an ideal event for both frontline teams and business leaders from professional distributors. Frontline teams are warmly welcomed to discover new products for the Peak Season, and to learn about product branding techniques. At the same time, the relaxed atmosphere allows time for business leaders to have quality conversations, negotiate trading partnerships, and build relationships with top suppliers. To deal with any distributor the relationship must be built from the top, and this event provides the opportunity to establish and build these top-level relationships.
Making Merchandise World in September 2018 a one day event is a direct result of the recent exhibitor survey. This means less time out of the office for the exhibitors, and gives the benefit of less hotel and meal requirements. As all visitors will be coming on one day, a very busy day is expected, so the opening times will run from 9am to 5pm. The night before will be a low cost informal Network Evening.

The entire UK promotional merchandise market spend is in excess of £950m. Merchandise World has tremendous support from the industry’s professional distributors and the expectation is that the majority of the industry’s leading professional distributors will be attending the event.
Merchandise World is held twice a year in the key seasons: January (The New Year) and September (The Peak Season). Merchandise World is jointly owned by the BPMA and Sourcing City following the merger of The BPMA Show and Sourcing City Marketplace in 2017. All Professional distributors are welcomed, whether or not they are BPMA members or SC Customers.
