LAMY, the premium retail brand of writing instruments, is excited to be co-sponsoring this year’s Promotional Products Week, which takes place from 15-19 September, and has been involved in several activities in the run up to the event. Promotional Products Week is an event created by the British Promotional Merchandise Association (BPMA) to raise the profile of promotional products among end-users and show its power, effectiveness and integral role in the marketing mix.

The activities include the creation of a limited edition LAMY gift-set offered to distributors during Promotional Products Week at a very special price. The set, which is presented in a unique metal gift box, includes the best-selling LAMY Logo ballpen, which is made of stainless steel with a matt finish, and the LAMY Logo mechanical pencil, which is also made of stainless steel but features a brushed finish. Another initiative, to tie-in with the colour scheme for Promotional Products Week, has been the production of hundreds of hot pink Safari rollerballs, all branded up with the date of the event and the website. These have been included within press packs that were sent out to the editors of major broadsheet and tabloid titles in order to drive further awareness of the event.

In addition, the branded pens are to be given out to top London agencies during a series of visits by design students, accompanied by the BPMA, to highlight the power of promotional merchandise. LAMY is also offering prizes as part of the Deskie challenge that is running throughout the week, where members of the public can send pictures of their desk into the BPMA for the chance to win £1000 of desk accessories and be named ‘Desk of the Year.’
