Leading supplier of promotional merchandise, Laltex Group, are very excited to be sponsoring a bee on behalf of The Seashell Trust for the ‘Bee in the City’. From 23rd July until 23rd September, Manchester hosts one of its most spectacular public art events. With over 100 giant bees dotted around the city, Laltex Group has had the privilege to sponsor a bee on behalf of its charity partner The Seashell Trust. After months of hard work ‘Shellbee’ now sits proudly on display inside the Royal Exchange Theatre.

Children, young people, staff and volunteers at the Seashell Trust collaborated to create a bee designed to encourage children and young people with sensory impairment to engage with art work. The unique bee lights up when approached and buzzes, it also vibrates when touched. The buzz noise was produced by Chris Emerson, viola player with Manchester’s world leading Hallé Orchestra.

The Bee in the City Trail is a great day out and a recommended fun day for all the family. Please make sure to check out ‘Shellbee’ for yourself, at the Royal Exchange Theatre along with the other bees on display until 23rd September. Follow the Bee in the City Trail with over 100 bees waiting to be discovered. For more info see – https://beeinthecitymcr.co.uk/
