Kingly had the chance to present their sustainable sock collection at Top Gift expo that took place last week at Place du Château in Lyon, France. The ecofriendly socks became an instant hit. They quickly attracted a lot of attention from businesses that want to boost their visibility with promotional products that match their environmental values.

The stars of the trade show were Kingly’s award-winning upcycled socks packed in compostable bags, followed by their new additions – PET bottle socks and reflective neon socks. The environmental savings per kilo upcycled cotton fiber that goes into the creation of about 16 pairs of socks are:

  • Water – 14, 927 litres;
  • CO₂ emissions – 23 kilos;
  • Land use – 2 m²;
  • Pollutants – 1.1 kilos;
  • Energy – 56 kW/h.

Kingly can also transform 3 PET bottles into a beautiful and comfortable pair of socks. The European-based sock company also add 5% cotton and 3% elastane, as well as a pinch of Polygiene. And when it comes to the creation of neon sock, they are made from 100% regenerated nylon (polyamide). The recycling process of polyamide is ecologically sustainable as it is obtained from waste of raw materials in the production phase that, if not recycled, would have to be disposed of in a waste plant.
