The 6th of January will mark the official launch of Keepme Bags’ bid to raise a staggering ?2,000 for charity. The company’s ‘Race to Print 200,000 Cotton Bags’ fundraising initiative will see a 1p donation made for each Long Handled Natural Cotton Bag sold, at what will be heavily discounted prices.

These discounted prices will be kept a secret until the day of launch and then the race will be on to raise the chequered flag in celebration of the 200,000nth bag coming off the carousels.

A single customer ordering the highest number of bags that help to meet the print target will then be invited to select a charity of their choice, to which the donation will be made on their behalf courtesy of the Keepme management.

Commenting on the activity, commercial director Steve Anderson said:
“We felt having enjoyed such a good year throughout 2013 we should give something back. As a company we already do a fair bit for charity and wanted to give one of our customers the opportunity to make a contribution to a charity of their choice, rather than ours.
We can’t wait to press the green light in January and are thoroughly looking forward to donating some funds that we hope will make a difference to what’s sure to be a worthwhile cause.”
