With the whole of the country seemingly swept up in Ice Bucket Challenge fever, two of the Outstanding Branding team have joined in to raise more money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Julie Twydell, our Designer, is about to embark on a trek through Morocco’s highest peaks for this great cause, so we thought why not jump on this Ice Bucket Challenge bandwagon and try and raise even more’ explains Managing Director, Sarah Penn.
‘Well I say ‘we’ thought, but of course it was Andy (Thorne, Sales Director) who orchestrated it. After his waxing extravaganza for Children in Need last year, he’s been trying to find something unpleasant for me to do for charity and once you’ve been nominated it’s impossible to say no! It’s also a fantastic cause close to many people’s hearts, so Julie and I were happy to take a soaking for it’.

The great news is that after the IBC took place, I hit my fundraising target,’ explains Julie, ‘so a massive thank you to all our industry friends and colleagues who were kind enough to donate’.

The IBC took place on Wednesday 29th August outside OB’s London Bridge offices. Andy was only too happy to administer the ice on Sarah and Senior Account Manager Chris Dawson did the honours for Julie. The whole event was filmed and available for viewing on YouTube:

Donations to Macmillan Cancer Support are welcome by texting COLD89 £10 70070 or http://www.justgiving.com/JuliesCharityTrek .

The finale to any IBC is of course the nomination for the next victims – step forward Aidan from Yob Golf, Martyn from The Umbrella Company and Lawrence from The Advantage Group.
