In January of this year Great Central Plastics Ltd was delighted to report that turnover for 2012 had risen by nearly 50%; a sign that demand for good quality, UK manufactured products was on the rise. This trend has continued in 2013, proving that the shift in demand is genuine and long term.

Great Central Plastics reports “we are not only experiencing increased sales from our UK customers, but our export market is forecast to double by the end of 2013”. The other main area GCP is experiencing largest growth is in bespoke projects. Tony Phillips MD comments “our ability to work hand-in-hand with customers on projects that involve product design and complex tooling, is proving to be extremely successful. Our Design and Tooling Department have never been busier and this is a direct consequence of the way we look at bespoke projects”.

This increase in demand has allowed the company to continue its policy of investment in both staff and machinery. Additional staff have been employed in both the tooling and printing departments and the demand for more complex products has resulted in the acquisition of further ultra-sonic welders.
