The last two years have seen exceptional growth in trading for ETC Supplies, comments M.D. Jas. S. Purba. Last year (2013) will be another record breaking year.

ETC Supplies have now purchased a new 20,000 sq. ft. distribution facility that will allow the company to continue to grow at this remarkable rate.

The new premises allow us to have increased stock holding, larger bays for unloading goods (can accommodate two 40 feet containers at a time). Dedicated customer car parking, a new customer showroom, dedicated sample room, larger sales office, and lots more!

Most people know us best for our unique range of embroidery backings. In fact we are probably Europe’s largest distributor with over 65 types of backing to choose from. Recently our own brand economy embroidery thread (sold at ?2.99 a cone) has made great gains into market share.

We are a garment decorator’s supplier offering everything that the trade requires. Our product offering is probably the largest from a dedicated supplier. Our business is customer led. We work in partnership with our customers to supply them with ALL their needs. We have many unique products that have been especially developed as a result of customers’ needs. These are not available from any other supplier.

ETC Supplies only sell direct to the trade user. We are not in bed with any of the garment distributors as this would mean pushing up our prices and loosing the direct link we have with our customers. Many people in the trade know me personally, said Jas. No customer is too small or too big for me to visit personally. I take this opportunity to thank them for their support and discuss how we can help them further. It is often during these visits that a chat with the customer results in identifying a need and a new product is developed and added to our range. We continue to increase the number of products sold to each customer. This makes life easy for the customer as they only need to deal with one supplier. The other USP we have is to be able to speak with customers direct about any technical issues. This is far removed from buying a product from a distributor whose sales staff only knows the product as a code and not how or why it is used.

The new distribution facility will allow us to grow our European business. The next focus for us will be in growing our business in Germany and Spain.
