On 29th October, Eat My Logo welcomed representatives from Chorley’s Economic Development Unit, joined by Councillors Khan and Snow. Their business benefited from the Chorley Council BIG Grant Scheme in 2024, securing investment that supported their new business expansion into branded chocolates through the purchase of Cocoapod.
Directors, Andy and Ruth Poar, commented “The funding directly supported the purchase of advanced chocolate-production equipment for our sub-brand Cocoapod, allowing us to significantly increase our capacity. This has enabled us to take on larger orders, shorten production times, and further accelerate business growth and job creation“.
Originally established as a B2C company, the grant provided Cocoapod the capability to expand into the B2B market. Ruth Poar commented, “With the new equipment in place, we are now able to handle the much higher order volumes required by corporate clients, an opportunity that would not have been achievable without this investment”.
On Chorley Council, Andy commented, “We are very fortunate in Chorley to have a forward-thinking and pro-business Council that understands the importance of supporting local enterprises. Their excellent Economic Development team do this daily, and their support has helped us start and grow two businesses in the town, creating and maintaining jobs for 25 local people”.
Since receiving the investment, Eat My Logo has welcomed new team members in a variety of roles, including chocolate melting for their printed squares and packaging chocolate boxes, among other responsibilities. As the business continues to grow, they expect this number to increase further, bringing even more employment opportunities and a positive impact on the local community.
