This week Eat My Logo celebrates its 5th Birthday following its launch on the 1st August 2014.
The last five years has seen a meteoric growth for the Lancashire based business that makes edible promotional merchandise. Eat My Logo’s roots remain planted in the ethos of high-quality products baked with high quality locally sourced ingredients which began in a small high street celebration cake shop. Eat My Logo was born in the cake shop but has expanded over the years to a 2.6k square foot bakery and next month will see the business move again; to a 9k sq ft unit on the site of an old Lancashire mill to allow for the rapid growth to continue.
Eat My Logo’s mission is to make ‘Make Your Brand Tasty!’ and they do this by creating the best quality cakes, cupcakes and biscuits that are branded with your logo or message. And the range of products continues to expand with the addition of brownies, doughnuts, cake pops, millionaire shortbreads, chocolates and even ice cream! There really is no better way to sweet talk your clients and their customers!
Part of the secret of their success is the high-quality images that are printed directly onto icing with edible inks, rather than using the traditional rice or wafer paper solution. This method ensures that both logo and sweet treat look just as good as they taste!
Eat My Logo have built their proposition on flexibility which means they offer low minimum order quantities but can also deal with large scale requirements. They now regularly produce orders for projects that require tens of thousands of products going to hundreds of different locations.
Director Andrew Poar says ‘The scale of growth has been phenomenal over the past five years and we are producing orders far larger and more complex than we ever envisaged as well alongside the day to day orders that range from just one cake upwards. Also, the Trade market is really important to us and we find that once distributors start working with us they come back time and time again’
Eat My Logo have also been keen supporters of the Apprenticeship programme and like to ‘grow their own’ staff. Director Ruth Poar tells us ‘The Eat My Logo team work hard every day with big smiles on their faces and we are very proud of them all. As a business we are really passionate about developing our team and giving opportunities to young people. Seven of our current eleven strong team all joined us as apprentices and some of this original team have grown to now hold supervisory roles within the business. Our team are as passionate about our products as we are and are very excited about celebrating the growth of the business and the move to our biggest location yet!’
