David Wilson (M.D.) and Justin Jones (Office Manager) of Preseli Ltd joined 7,000 other runners in completing the 34th Chester Half Marathon on Sunday 17th May. Supporters were out in large numbers and the Chester Town crier David Mitchell heralded the beginning of the 13.2 mile course which finished just outside Chester Town Hall.

Weather could not have been better and the course record was broken by Vincent Boyt in 62 mins and 21 seconds. Dave and Justin came in just a few minutes after Mr Boyt (well 100 minutes, but who’s counting?) and had a fantastic day. They were delighted to have completed the race successfully and simply astounded by the level of support from customers, colleagues, friends and family who helped to raise well in excess of £2,000 for Tree of Hope to support Ava Evans in getting her walking wish. 3 year old Ava, from Prestatyn, was born with a condition that means that, unless she can travel to the US for a life-changing operation, she will never walk.

Following the event Dave & Justin said, “We were delighted to have finished and even more delighted by the generous response of so many who supported us and we are so pleased to be able to contribute towards the cost of Ava’s treatment. Thank you to everyone who gave and for all your support.”
