The current situation following CMC’s demise remains unclear. As far as we have been able to establish, there still has not been any administrator or liquidator appointed as yet, & there is no indication when this may take place, or even who is now responsible to action this. Of course until this happens, a ‘creditors meeting’ cannot take place & the full extent of the companies losses remain speculation. Anger continues to permeate through the trade & we are aware of numerous trade suppliers who are facing substantial losses. | The closing date for offers to Edward Symmons to purchase the ‘business & assets of Corporate Merchandise Company Ltd’ has now passed & we understand the offers have been received. The sale process is now underway, however, any successful purchasing party has not been revealed as yet. | We continue to try and establish the facts, & will report here as soon as we have more information.
