Anyone who saw Johnson Beharry VC as the opening speaker at Sourcing City Marketplace in September will testify that it was an extraordinary experience.

Whether you saw him then, or regret missing him first time, there is now the chance to hear him in a full two hour talk. This is a unique opportunity to meet the man, and to hear the remarkable life story of Johnson Beharry VC, the first living recipient of the Victoria Cross in more than 30 years.

Johnson is inspiring, charismatic and humorous. His talk will tell you about his inspirational life experiences; including his tough childhood, his determination to make something of his life, and ultimately how he faced unimaginable challenges in battle and life. This really is a once in a lifetime opportunity to meet an extraordinary man who has been awarded a VC, and to see the medal he won so valiantly.

Having personally heard Johnson tell his story, I can say that I was left with nothing but admiration, respect, and pride for our British forces after hearing him speak.

Lance Sergeant Johnson Beharry VC will be coming to Milford on Sea Community Centre on Saturday 24th January 2015. Milford on Sea is a delightful seaside village at the foot of the New Forest and opposite the Needles on the Isle of Wight, so it is an ideal opportunity to make a complete weekend away.

This charity event is organised by the community team that organise Milford on Sea Food Week. All profits from this event will go to the ‘Every Man Remembered’ campaign run by the Royal British Legion.

Tickets are £15 and the price includes a charitable donation. Tickets are available from: www.ticketsource.co.uk/lovemilford. If you fancy coming, the following link gives some local places to stay: www.greatdiningbus.co.uk/stay-dine
