Another highly successful BPMA Christmas lunch was held at the Guoman Tower Hotel in London last Friday, 14th December, with many of the industry’s top names in attendance.

The BPMA’s chosen charity this year was Lifelites, a charity that provides fun and educational technology for children in all the children’s hospices in the UK. The industry attendees generously raised ?5850 through a charity raffle and auction on the day.

Lifelites chief executive Simone Enefer-Doy said, “The team at Lifelites were absolutely delighted to be chosen as the charity to benefit from fundraising at the BPMA Christmas lunch but we could not have known just how generous the industry could be! It was amazing how everyone there responded to all the calls for support, in particular when they were ask to contribute to an i-pad for terminally ill children in hospices. Lifelites is very grateful for this wonderful support from bpma members which will be used to assist our work for 9,000 children in all 49 baby and children hospices in the British Isles.”

At the lunch, Neal Beagles, Chairman of the BPMA highlighted the vision of our industry growing to the value of ?3billion. Beagles went on to say that the key to this growth was to engage more with the end-user to stimulate demand for Promotional products. The BPMA will again support the Promotional Marketing Exhibition at Marketing Week Live attended by over 14,000 members of the marketing community. Education is also at the heart of the bBPMA’s agenda and 2013 will see the launch of the BPMA Professional Development Programme.

Chairman, Neal Beagles was awarded the BPMA Sword of Honour for his commitment to the BPMA and industry both during his chairmanship and previously on the board of the BPMA. Beagles commented “It is an absolute privilege to be given this accolade, and I look forward to working with you all in the months and years ahead”

The Award for Innovative Product of the Year, sponsored by PSI was presented to SPS EU for their Brite-Pad launched in September 2012.

Distributor Catalogue Cover of the Year, sponsored by United Brands of Scandinavia, was awarded to Firebrand Promotions for their current Catalogue cover.
