The Industry are saddened to hear of the death of a much loved former employee of the bpma and industry character Charlie Willis at the young age of 43.

Charlie joined the bpma as Sales Manager in 2004 after leaving Sales Promotion Magazine and was one of the original team members that made the move from the Surrey office up to London where we now operate.  After working for the bpma, he joined Simon Tilley and the Promotional Marketing Exhibition team at Volume Exhibitions.

Gordon Glenister, Director General of the bpma comments, ‘I had the pleasure of working with Charlie when I first joined the bpma, he was certainly popular within the industry and will be sadly missed by myself and all of the team that worked with him over the years.  The bpma’s thoughts are with his partner Rachel, family and friends at this time’

Paul Mclellan Operations Manager of the bpma comments, ‘I was lucky enough to work with Charlie and classed him as a friend. He took me under his wing when I joined the bpma and showed me the ropes.  I will miss our conversations and his eccentric personality, he was a true gentleman and was in a class of his own!’
