Kustom Kits Quality Range, Tested to Last

One key test is pilling resistance, which measures how well a fabric resists those familiar bobbles that form on the surface after repeated wear. For knitwear, this is tested using a Martindale machine, which rubs the fabric against a standard abrasive surface in a controlled circular motion, simulating everyday wear.

A result of 7,500 rubs is considered a very good workwear standard, yet our KK337, KK338 and KK339 styles went beyond 20,000 rubs, demonstrating exceptional resistance to pilling. The rest of the range is assessed using the Pill Box method and performs just as well.

Our commitment to durability is also demonstrated by our Superwash 60 collection, where 18 styles are knitted from high-quality yarns at a tight tension to create hard-wearing garments. Specially developed dyes help these garments retain their colour during high-temperature washing, resulting in clothing designed to withstand 60°C washes without compromising on colour or comfort.
