Eat My Logo’s equipment upgrade continues with the purchase of a new flow wrapper to join their existing machine. The move will allow for the sale of 2 of their older flow wrapping machines, which have been with the business since 2016, when the company was a side-line to celebration cake shop.
The business has seen stratospheric growth since its establishment in 2014 and as of 2019 is now located in a bespoke fitted 9,000 square foot bakery in Lancashire.
Director Ruth Poar commented “It’s a sad day waving goodbye to our old flow wrap machines, which were our first major investments in automating our packaging process back in 2016. A steady increase in demand for our products has driven us to upscale our production processes, and the new flow wrapper will join a whole host of industrial baking equipment that we’ve purchased over the years”.
The replacement flow wrapper is capable of wrapping up to … products per hour, which is double the capability of the existing machines. This will allow the business to continue offering its short lead times. The machine also runs with compostable film, which allows for all products to be wrapped in an eco-friendly alternative to traditional plastic.
