The largest, & one of the best companies in the industry; 4imprint Group, reported in June that the Sales in the End User Division (which includes Brand Addition) for the first half are expected to be around 24% below the prior year. Brand Addition have been particularly affected by the major cuts made by large corporate companies (the banking sector in particular). We understand a number of significant new client contracts have been won by Brand Addition, so recovery & future growth is fully expected. Sales from the 4imprint Trade Division are expected to be about 21% below first half 2008. In recent years the end user division of 4imprint have consistently produced impressive growth, but this certainly proves how tough it is out there when a high performing outfit like 4imprint are taking such a short-term hit. The word in the market is that the industry’s other major players would demonstrate a similar story.
