Great Central Plastics are pleased to announce the arrival of three new staff members who have recently joined the company following substantial growth in the first half of 2014.

David York joins the company in the new role of Production Operations Manager; he brings with him 12 years’ experience in production management and will have hands on approach to the running and co-ordination of all departments within the factory. This also includes Great Central Plastics recently expanded printing department, which now caters for many types of colourful decoration and finishes.

Working with The Manufacturing Advisory Service (MAS), David plans to streamline productivity and implement lean manufacturing, this will in turn ensure the factory works more efficiently and continues to meet tight deadlines.

Thomas Hewitt joins the Great Central Plastics team as a Tool Making Apprentice. Thomas is currently studying Performing Engineering Operations Level 3 at Northampton College, so his addition to the company will add specialist experience to the very busy tool room and ensure the company has fully trained staff for future development.

The third new member of staff is David Crumpton who joins the moulding department as a Tool Setter, bringing with him 31 years of experience within the industry. His vast product knowledge and skills will continue to ensure Great Central Plastics maintain their excellent levels of quality and service.
