The owner of Recognition Express West London, Ed Kennelly is headed for Wembley!

But he’s not going to the famous stadium for sport; his promotional goods and branded clothing company has been named a finalist in this year’s prestigious West London Business Awards which are to be held at Wembley.

The awards recognise the outstanding achievements of organisations and individuals across three themes: sector leadership; sustainable and responsible business; and economic growth.

It’s a head to head competition between Recognition Express and McDonald’s in the Franchise of the Year category.

Said Ed Kennelly, owner of Recognition Express West London: “We are absolutely delighted to hear this news. We have only been trading for three years but we’ve established ourselves as a high-quality provider of promotional goods and branded clothing to the London business and education community. This is the first time we have entered an award so it was a real surprise to find out that we had been chosen as a finalist. McDonald’s are stiff competition and another top-quality franchise. May the best team win! “

Added  Nigel Toplis, managing director of the Bardon Group which includes the Recognition Express brand:  “Well done to West London Business for shining a spotlight on the franchise business model. Running a franchise is a proven way to build a successful, profitable business and Ed Kennelly at Recognition Express West London is testament to that. Reaching the final of such a competitive award is a huge achievement and we have our fingers crossed that he’ll win.”

The winners will be announced at the West London Business Awards gala dinner on Thursday 2 February.
