At the recent Purple Club Industry Summit one topic raised was the need for a ‘Quotation Request Checklist’ for new people joining distributor companies. This was seen as useful for training purposes, and even as a useful checklist for more experienced people.

After the summit Sourcing City canvassed further views and input from Roddy Rutland at Headwear, Jamie Marshall’s team at Premier Print & Promotions, and Gerry Thomas at PlasTech. The outcome was a checklist that now relates to both Distributors and Suppliers.

Each step may seem reasonably obvious, but they are also easily missed or omitted. It is certain that, if each question is thoroughly answered it will save valuable time – and more importantly enable orders to be won easier.
