Philip Townsend at All Personal Gifts is taking on the Celtic Challenge 2014

Over four days, from the 28th to the 31st May 2014 we will cycle over 200 miles from Edinburgh to the Isle of Iona, passing through some of the most stunning and unspoilt landscapes in the UK.

Starting from St Columba’s Hospice in Edinburgh, we will cycle to Glasgow, Loch Lomond, Loch Awe, Tarbet and the Isle of Mull, from where we will make the final leg of the journey by ferry to the Isle of Iona – one of the most significant areas of Scotland’s history.
We will cycle past beautiful lochs, ancient ruins and kirks, quaint villages and unspoilt wilderness and will be an experience never to be forgotten.

Philip comments, ‘Having experienced the truly inspirational journey in 2013, it didn’t take me long to sign up for the challenge in 2014. The weather for last year’s jaunt was warm and sunny, as was the company of my comrades and to top it off, we were rewarded with absolutely spectacular scenery. But even more rewarding was the incredible support from all donators – be it family, friends, colleagues or complete strangers. The kindness and generosity of these people has helped to raise much needed funds to build a new home for St. Columba’s Hospice and future donations will ensure the hospice can continue to care for people suffering from terminal illness.

I am asking for your support once again to give whatever you can to this remarkable and tireless charity that has made such a difference to so many people.’

The target is ?1200 – so far, we have ?997.50…….leaving only ?202.50 to go…..
