PF Concept has been named #Influencer of the Year at the 2017 PSI Sustainability Awards in recognition of its corporate philosophy and compliance profile. The company is delighted with the jury’s decision and views it as a strong incentive for ongoing consistent pursuit of its sustainability strategy.

Roelofarendsveen, 11 September 2017 – Ralf Oster, CEO of PF Concept, proudly accepted the #Influencer of the Year award at the 2017 PSI Sustainability Awards in Wiesbaden on 8 September. The jury explained its decision: “With this award we honour a clear and well-documented sustainable corporate philosophy, which also has repercussions outside the advertising industry.”

Ralf Oster responded to the news saying: “In recent years we have developed and implemented a very complex sustainability strategy through applying a great amount of international effort. I am delighted that this is seen as exemplary for the industry. We do not walk this path alone, but together with our partners – both in production and in commerce. Only in this way can we make a real change for the better. ”

PF Concept utilises an efficient compliance management system to enable its success in satisfying the most demanding sustainability standards. Adhesion to clear guidelines is monitored through regular audits and spot checks. Results of these are presented in four colour-coded categories which deliver an overview of the observed situation and function as a basis for any required corrective actions. PF Concept has a 20-person compliance team on the ground spread over four locations around the world to ensure the jointly developed code is followed. These people also conduct training courses for all manufacturers to enable implementation of the jointly developed action plans.

This system for monitoring suppliers and working with them to achieve compliance is described in PF Concept’s recently published sustainability report “Serious about Sustainability”. The PSI jury also commented on this: “After 10 years of preparation of its compliance profile and networked implementation of all relevant fields of action, PF Concept has publicly and transparently positioned itself as a compliant company for the first time.”

In addition to the special award as #Influencer of the Year PF Concept has been honoured by the PSI Sustainability Awards jury with second place in the category Environmental Initiative. The company was nominated in a total of five categories, which highlights the successful implementation of its sustainability and compliance strategy.

“These honours are both confirmation and incentive,” says Oster. “Confirming that we are on the right path and encouraging us to steadily develop our sustainability strategy even further.”
