The exhibition stands and conversation pods for Merchandise World next September went on sale over three days at the end of last week. To say the response was extraordinary is an understatement!

At 8.30am last Wednesday the booking hotline opened, and the MW17 Team of ten answering the calls were immediately inundated. Over the next three days, exactly 100 suppliers called in to book their space at this exciting new event.

With such demand it was always going to be difficult to give everyone their first choice position, but flexible attitudes and good spirits won through.

The optional ‘Online Appointment Diaries’ are proving very popular with exhibitors; these enable them to have a traditional exhibition stand, but with the added benefit of a ‘Conversation Area’ and being able to plan meetings before the event. The ‘Conversation Pods’ as seen at SC Marketplace are also available at Merchandise World.

As a result of the three day booking focus, 90% of the initial budgeted target at Merchandise World has now been sold. The MW17 Team are now looking forward to ensuring Merchandise World becomes a ‘must visit event’ for everyone working in a professional distributor company, by adding even more quality exhibitors and attractions as the weeks go on.

About Merchandise World

The BPMA and Sourcing City are delighted to have created their new jointly owned event; Merchandise World, which has been formed by bringing together Sourcing City Marketplace and The BPMA Show.

The Merchandise World concept is unique in having two key elements, bringing the best of both worlds! The product exhibition stands will ensure that all of the sales and administration teams from professional distributor companies can see the latest and hottest products from the industry’s top suppliers, whilst Business VIP’s will also be able to have focused and meaningful conversations by appointment on the stands with dedicated ‘Conversation Areas’, or in the ‘Conversation Pods’ which were first seen at Sourcing City Marketplace from 2011 to 2016.

It is anticipated that around 200 suppliers will attend Merchandise World, each will be focused on delivering a valuable experience for all of the team members and management from the invited professional distributors.

Merchandise World will take place on Tuesday 19th & Wednesday 20th September 2017 at NAEC Stoneleigh, Warwickshire, CV8 2LG.

At the same time, the BPMA will independently run the prestigious BPMA Annual Awards Dinner on the evening of Tuesday 19th September 2017, with Promotional Products Week running a week or two later, thus enabling BPMA Members to proactively promote products discovered at Merchandise World.
