Last year Chinese specialist Selena Chen organised visits by chemists from TUV Rheinland and Eurofins to carry out on site analysis. The results from independent testing institutes led to concrete guidelines on raw materials, colours and production methods which have since been used in the manufacture of all MBW rubber duckies, enabling them to qualify for the Schnabels quality label. Naturally, all Schnabels are made from phthalate-free PVC, and are EN71 certified. In addition, special attention has been paid to ensure the safety of decoration and printing colours.

To be able to meet the prerequisite high standards, most Schnabels are manufactured on a exclusive basis in two specialist facilities in China who have signed guarantee declarations concerning social compliance and quality requirements. The factories are continuously monitored to ensure full respect of all elements.
