It is with deep regret, that I must inform you of the tragic loss of one of our Sales Executives over the Christmas period.

Dom Goddard was only 23 and walking home from a Boxing day party in the early hours of 27th December, when he was involved in a freak road accident and unfortunately died at the scene.

I am sure this will come as a complete shock to those who spoke with, or had dealings with Dom.  He was a young man with a great sense of humour, always had a massive smile on his face and had his whole life in front of him. As you can imagine the whole of the LSi family, including ex-employees, are in complete shock and disbelief, finding it hard to comprehend what has happened.

Dom joined LSi on 5th January 2010 as Sales Support and worked for 3 years supporting various internal Sales Executives.  He worked hard to prove himself and earned his just reward only a year ago, when he gained a promotion and started 2013 as Sales Executive himself.

Dom forged some great relationships with his clients and suppliers alike over the past 12 months.  He made me extremely proud of him by smashing his first annual sales target in late November, but not satisfied with that, he didn’t sit back and went on to secure a massive ?80k order in early December – from a cold call!

On a personal note, I am devastated by his loss.  Dom was on a massive up and we had talked recently about how well he was doing and how he was looking forward to this year. After a few beers at the Christmas Party, he thanked me for believing in him and I am happy I got the chance, to tell him face to face, that I did believe in him and how proud I was of his achievement and that I had big plans for him in 2014, which is why his passing so hard to accept.

This has rocked us all at LSi and I know many of you are also affected by the kind e-mails and texts I have already received.  I would ask that you continue to support the LSi team as you always have done, as friends and not just as suppliers.

Many of the staff will find it hard this week to come into work, let alone talk about what has happened, therefore I would kindly ask that you respect this and keep your calls to a strictly professional basis at this extremely difficult time. We are a close knit family at LSi and Dom was well liked and loved by all his colleagues.  We feel like we have lost a brother, a son and a friend.
