“We can’t afford to rest on our laurels; instead, we have to create innovations. PSI feels the same way and presents an ideal platform for innovations: the PSI FIRST Club. A total of 50 companies from the promotional products sector will take advantage of the opportunity at PSI to present their product premieres to a broad audience – the Leading European Trade Fair of the Promotional Products Industry – from 7 to 9 January. Twenty companies have already introduced themselves, and here are the next ten PSI FIRST participants:

From leather to textiles to synthetics, EUROSTYLE is the expert when it comes to stylish promotional goods. Founded in 1899, the Bayreuth-based leather goods factory produces promotional products from a variety of materials – including one-off articles and customer-based designs. Innovations play a key role for them, which is why EUROSTYLE regularly emerges as a source of high-quality, fashionable promotional products. They’ve got another novelty in the works for 2015, and they’ll launch it at PSI FIRST.
Prinopa, a manufacturer of paper-based promotional articles, has also announced its participation. “Of course we have a burning desire to introduce our new product, but above all we want to present ourselves as a reliable partner for promotional products distributors and make an impression with our portfolio of promotional sticky notes, notepads and notebooks”, explains Andreas Martens, the managing director of Prinopa. “For the 2015 PSI trade fair we’ll introduce a surprising innovation from the promotional-calendar category. Here is what I can tell you at this point: we’ve enhanced the proven multi-month wall calendar, which allowed us to add never-before-seen features, functionalities and application options. Feel free to get excited.”

Anda Present was launched with four employees in an office space measuring just 30 square metres. Today, the Hungarian company employs more than 100 people in eleven countries. In addition to an extensive product assortment, Anda Present offers a variety of finishing technologies. Using methods such as 3D engraving, doming, UV lettering and transfer printing, they’re able to add promotional messages to pens, cosmetics bags, note clips, business card holders and CD cleaners, among other items. As in everything they do, the emphasis is on innovation and development.

uma Schreibgeräte started with the ballpoint pen and the idea of turning it into an advertising vehicle. What resulted was a company that today employs a workforce of more than 100 and sells more than 70 million promotional products annually worldwide. uma is one of the leading manufacturers of promotional pens in Germany and also a member of the 2015 PSI FIRST club. Offering everything from wood and cardboard pens to advanced engraving techniques, the company from Fischerbach in Baden-Württemberg is ideally positioned to create an exciting new promotional product.

Maxim Ceramics from Michelstadt doesn’t just offer a huge range of products from coffee mugs to teaspoons, the company also specialises in promotional labelling. They can finish ceramics, glass or porcelain products. Maxim Ceramics will present an exclusive product premiere at PSI FIRST, too.

“We didn’t hesitate for a second when it came to participating in PSI FIRST again”, says Milan Walter, the general director of REDA. “PSI FIRST presents an excellent opportunity to introduce our innovations to our partners while at the same time being involved in determining the direction of the future development of the promotional products industry. We can’t afford to rest on our laurels; instead, we have to create innovations. Growth can only come from innovation – both in regards to the products and the processes”, Walter summarises. “We here at REDA are absolutely convinced that having unique and advanced products is the key to success in the promotional merchandise sector. Without giving away too much, I’d like to invite PSI visitors to our stand. Our PSI FIRST product is the result of a product development process during which we were particularly interested in the multifunctionality and practicability of our novelty”, reveals Walter.

Be it guidebooks or reference works on topics such as human beings and nature, history and music, or food, drink and fitness: Dorling Kindersley offers some 1,000 available titles covering a vast range of subjects. The publisher is famous for bestsellers such as The Animal Book, Human, and the Illustrated Encyclopedia of the Ocean; a series of fitness books entitled Sport aktiv in Germany; and cook books by celebrity chefs including Jamie Oliver, Steffen Henssler and Frank Rosin. Dorling Kindersley will launch a new product in 2015, and PSI visitors will be first in line to experience it right at the Leading European Trade Fair of the Promotional Products Industry.

Yet another product premiere will come our way from Solingen-Aufderhöhe in the heart of North Rhine-Westphalia. That’s where Maximex Import Export is headquartered. The company will present a new product from their diverse portfolio, which currently includes promotional products such as mouse pads, trendy wristbands, foldable binoculars and fashion tubes. Joining those items in January will be a brand-new promotional article.
“For us, PSI FIRST represents an exclusive and attention-getting PR activity during a new product launch. PSI FIRST helps to further upgrade an already highly professional environment and leads us to expect a raised degree of awareness when it comes to the relevant products”, says Peter Leseberg, Halfar’s marketing and sales director. The Bielefeld-based company, which started with the idea of developing bags for emergency medical technicians, today specialises in bags designed to solve technical problems or make advertising wishes come true. Halfar agreed to grant a sneak peek into its developers’ workshop: “The bag line selected for PSI FIRST is an in-house development featuring a new design and material combination. It’s most impressive because it looks fantastic and offers excellent value for the money”, Leseberg revealed.

PromoNotes makes customised paper-based promotional products. Sticky notes are the flagship product of the Polish company founded in 2011. PromoNotes offers various grades of everything from classic sticky notes to marker sets, notepads and notebooks to paper cubes and calendars.

Some 50 exhibitors will come together for the second time in the PSI FIRST Club at PSI 2015 in order to leverage the trade fair specifically for the launch of their new products. It’s a way for visitors to experience quite a range of premieres, since the products must not be shown anywhere else beforehand, not even at in-house events. In return, PSI supports manufacturers with a comprehensive marketing package and makes them the focus of attention at the trade fair. In addition, the PSI FIRST AWARD is presented during the trade fair. At the inaugural event in 2014, this prize went to Giving Europe B.V., reeko design GmbH & Co. KG and Richartz GmbH. The PSI FIRST campaign aims at offering a platform for the sector to showcase essential innovations all in one place, right at the start of the promotional product year.
